✅Position: School Counselor (1 Post)
Aga Khan Education Service is currently seeking qualified, dynamic, open-minded, committed, effective, and experienced candidates to fill the following vacant positions at Aga Khan Education Service, Tanzania for the new term starting August 2025:
Job Summary:
The School Counselor supports students in academic, social-emotional, behavioral, and career development. In collaboration with teachers, administrators, parents, and guardians, they create a safe and supportive learning environment. The counselor implements comprehensive guidance programs aligned with school goals and student needs, ensuring that all students are equipped for success in school and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students on academic, social, behavioral, and emotional issues.
- Develop and implement school-wide guidance programs and workshops.
- Conduct assessments and interpret data to identify student needs and progress.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student development.
- Assist with crisis intervention and provide referrals to external services when needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience working with children and adolescents in educational settings.
- Knowledge of counseling models, interventions, and child development.
✅Position: Computer Science Teacher
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field.
- Familiarity with curriculum frameworks like IGCSE Computer Science or IB Computer Science.
- Experience with educational technologies and learning management systems (e.g., Google Classroom, Canvas).
✅Position: Virtual Art Teacher
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Teaching certification or equivalent (as required by your region).
- Experience teaching art in a virtual or hybrid learning environment.
- Proficiency with online teaching platforms and digital art tools.
✅Position: School Administration Officer
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, BA in Education, or a related field.
- Proven experience in an administrative or office management role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and office technologies.
- Previous experience in a school setting or educational institution.
- Familiarity with student information systems (SIS) such as PowerSchool, Infinite Campus, or similar platforms.
✅Position: School Driver (1 Position)
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid Class C driving license and Driving certificate from NIT.
- Candidate aged between 35 and 45 years.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional driving experience, particularly with passenger vehicles or school buses.
- Clean driving record with no major traffic violations.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to manage the responsibility of driving children safely.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with students, parents, and school staff in a respectful manner.
Position: School Carpenter and Plumber
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in carpentry and plumbing preferred.
- Proven experience as a carpenter and plumber, preferably in an institutional setting.
- Knowledge and skills of carpentry and plumbing methods, materials, tools, and safety practices.
